Double Handshake is blog about China-Latin American news, business, politics and culture. The main idea is to look at the new and changing ways these two vast regions are interacting with each other. You will also find information here about both places independently.

The site is kept by Tom Pellman, an American writer living in Beijing. Originally from Indiana, he lived and worked in China for 3.5 years before spending five months in South America in 2009. He returned to China in August 2009. His work has been published in China Economic Review, EuroBiz, China Expat, Travel Mag, Living in Peru and others. He speaks Mandarin and some Spanish.
